STEPHEN MINISTRY NEWS:
Your Stephen Ministers continue to meet faithfully twice a month to hone their skills in ministering to those among us who have special needs for the loving care they are trained to provide. Thankful for the continuing guidance and encouragement of the Holy Spirit, those of us involved are conscious of the need here for more Stephen Leaders and Stephen Ministers to be trained and available for this inspiring ministry. During the month of August, Pastor Bill Nienstedt and Brenda Wallestad will go to Pittsburg for a week's training as Stephen Leaders. They will join with the present Stephen Leaders to participate in a training program for new Stephen Ministers to begin in January 2009. Information about, and opportunities to enroll in this exciting program will be forthcoming this fall. In the meantime, any one of the current Stephen Leaders and Ministers will be happy to answer any questions and provide information to those who so wish.
